been super into ATCs right now. It seems to be helping my style and creativity. coming up with ideas for swaps, compacting composition to the small size, working my styles and medias into the subject matter. really great!

also, I'm finally taking a tiny vacation to orlando for a couple of days. yay!  and I'm thinking of getting a room mate to cut back on expenses.

and i finished my certification for teaching, though i haven't had much luck with jobs.

still it feels like i'm moving forward again.

It's amazing how the web is freeing us up! but at the same time it frees us up for good, it also frees us up for bad, like cyber-bullying. I was bullied as a middle schooler in a couple of schools, just for being from a different part of the country. I can't imagine what it would be like now. For a long time there was no safe place in my life, school and home were both a mess.

I hope for anyone who suffers from being bullied now, they can find a safe space and someone to help and love them.

the internet does also give us a safe place to go to if we find the good places.

Life seems very unsure right now. things are going this way and that way and there's a bunch of different threads I'm untangling. I have to trust that at the end of this process, things will work out. They usually do, so I just making art.

I'm also watching the city take down a 200 year old tree form my front yard. It's been struck by lightning and has been sick for a while. it makes me sad and secretly i worry that the Ents are gonna come and get me!! Luckily the tree guys have let me have some of the wood pieces so I'm dreaming of things to carve from them.

I'm spending a lot of mental time trying to understand stuff, like what's the point of wrestling? Why is the education system here doing so poorly? Why do people hate so much?
It seems like the more I try to understand, the less I do understand. So that leads to making more art as a form of meditation. Which is not bad. luckily nothing stays the same.

Just discovered the random feature on the menu at the top. Found some cool deviations. It's almost overwhelming. And inspirational.
